The Autism Spectrum Test (Quotient) is a test designed by psychologist Simon Baron-Cohen and his colleagues at the Cambridge University Autistic Research Centre to see whether individuals of average intelligence exhibit symptoms similar to those seen in people with autism spectrum disorders. The AQ can be used as a screening instrument but it is important to note that, despite its predictive properties, it is not a diagnosis tool. It consists of 50 items that the respondent rates on a scale from definitely agree to disagree. If you would like to talk to a professional, we encourage you to schedule an evaluation.
